Host-For Terms & Conditions
Our terms and conditions are to provide our clients with a general idea of what won't be tolerated on our servers. You must agree to the terms and conditions to use Host-For. If you do not agree we reserve the right to terminate your services with immediate effect. When you place an order with us it is with the understanding that you have read and agreed to everything here. Host-For reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
1) Personal and Product Details
1.1) Host-For will not share any of your details with third parties, or use them for marketing purposes, except for law enforcement agencies in the United Kingdom, your country of residence, and/or the country that Host-For servers are located in.
1.2) It is our clients' responsibility to keep all passwords safe and secure. Host-For is not responsible for any damages whether they be real, implied, direct or indirect that may have resulted from customers giving out thier personal details.
1.3) We will not grant anyone access to anything within your account unless they are a named contact on your billing panel. This is why we require all clients to contact us via ticket for account and service changes and/or enhancements.
2) Account Usage
2.1) Any account found to be using or attempting to use our service for illegal or abusive activity such as, but not limited to: Denial of Service Attacks (DDOS), hacking other users accouts or our servers in any way, storage and/or transmission of copyrighted materials including "warez", MP3s, AVIs, pirated and/or copyrighted software, War Bots and scripts, flood scripts/bots, hacking tools (such as but not limited to) root kits, sniffers, scanners or exploit programs, http/ftp/socks proxies, mail bombs, graphical images and intellectual properties or transmission of malicious code such as viruses, worms, Trojans, copyrighted material will be terminated with immediate effect and will not receive any refund.
2.2) All accounts must stay within there set quotas. Customers will be contacted regarding this and a script will automatically kill processes that exceed the max number of processes for any given account type or which exceeds allowed CPU/Memory usage limits. If you go over your allowed bandwidth, you will also be required to purchase more.
2.3) Our burstable ram is for use for short periods for the installation and/or upgrading of software and is for use for short periods only, normally no longer than 2 hours unless a member of staff has been notified.
2.3) Reselling services or space on our shell servers is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of Customer's account without notice or refund unless you have a reseller account from us, or have gained permission from a member of our staff.
2.4) 'Free Domains' remain the property of Host-For should you leave us, we may however release them to you for a fee should you wish to purchase them from us.
2.5) When purchasing a shoutcast server from Host-For, we do not provide a license for you to run this or to broadcast music if one is needed. You will be responsible for any legal issues which may arise due to licencing laws in your country.
3) Account Billing
3.1) We offer a full money-back guarantee for all purchases made on our website. If you are not satisfied with the product that you have purchased from us, you can get your money back no questions asked. You are eligible for a full reimbursement within 30 calendar days of your purchase.
After the 30-day period you will no longer be eligible and won't be able to receive a refund. We encourage our customers to try the product within the first 30 days after their purchase to ensure it fits your needs.
The money will be refunded to the original payment method you've used during the purchase. For credit card payments it may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your credit card statement.
The money-back guarantee will not apply to customers who try to abuse the refunds and try to request multiple refunds.

3.2) Failure to pay your account will lead to your account being suspended after 5 days and terminated after 10 days unless a member of staff has been notified regarding late payments.
3.3) Failure to pay your account on time will lead to a late payment fee of 2% of the due balance (minimum late fee of $ 10.00) being added 5 days after failure to pay account on time.
3.4) From time to time we may run sales and or promotional offers to try to bring in new business. With these sales and offers existing customers may not be eligible to take advantage of the new prices. At the same time, if we raise our prices then that will not affect current clients. Their prices will always stay the same for the entire time they are with us.
4) Support
4.1) Host-For primary purpose is to supply our customers with the hardware, network and software to run the service as described within the relevant products page. Our support of this type will take priority over all other aspects of support. We have split the support levels we offer into different categories this is to ensure that we give you the best support for each of the services you have from us.
4.2) We offer a free transfer service from your current provider when you join with us. We take no responsibility in any loss of data during the transfer however every effort will be made to prevent this occurring.
4.3) Accounts that are not paid on time and are set as overdue may receive a slower support service, as we prioritise the up to date services first.
As a final note, we will not tolerate abusive language or behaviour towards any staff whether it is via regular mail, email, in the administrative IRC channel, by instant message or any other means. This may result in the customer's account being terminated for abuse without refund.
5) 99% Uptime Guarantee
5.1)COVERAGE - This 99.99% uptime guarantee applies to any customer in good financial standing with Host-For at the time of a service outage.
5.2) SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT ('SLA') & SPECIFICATIONS - Host-For endeavours to have the content of your website available for HTTP access by any party in the world 99% of the time. Network downtime ('unavailability') is defined as 100% packet loss from Host-For to its backbone providers. Downtime is measured past 10 minutes after notification of network failure via Host-For's online ticketing system. If the ticketing system itself is unreachable, the ticket must be started by emailing Host-For.
Host-For's administrators will determine the end of the downtime by a trace-route to your machine from outside the Host-For network.
5.3) SHARED HOSTING CREDITS - In the event that yuor website is unavailable for less than 100%, Host-For will credit the following month's service fee as follows. YOUR credit shall be retroactive and measured in 24 hours a day of a calendar month, with the maximum credit not exceeding 50% of the monthly service charge for the affected month.
. 95% to 99.9% - Your account will be credited 10% of your monthly hosting fee.
. 90% to 94.9% - Your account will be credited 20% of your monthly hosting fee.
. 89.9% or below - Your account will be credited 50% of your monthly hosting fee.
5.4.) Credit shall not be provided to you in the event that you have any outage resulting from the following:
- Scheduled maintenance as posted from time to time at Host-For.
- Your behaviour or the performance or failure of your equipment, facilities or applications.
- Circumstances beyond Host-For's reasonable control, including, without limitation, acts of any governmental body, war, insurrection, sabotage, embargo, fire, flood, strike or other labour disturbance, interruption of or delay in transportation, unavailability of interruption or delay in telecommunications or third party services, including DNS propagation, domain name registration/transfer, failure of third party software or hardware or inability to obtain raw materials, supplies, or power used in or equipment needed for provision of your web site.
- You breaking any agreement policy in Host-For's 'Terms & Conditions and AUP' causing a machine to fail as a result.
